Esther Louise (Phillips) Hazelet

Esther Louise Hazelet, age 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away January 8, 2020 at Lincolnshire Place in Fort Wayne.  Mrs. Hazelet was born in Bourbon, Indiana on March 22, 1933 to the late Glenn Allen Phillips and Lois Irene (Flory) Phillips.  She married Gerald Lynn Hazelet on December 12, 1953 at Calvary Evangelical United Brethren Church in Fort Wayne.  Gerald preceded her in death on April 28, 2005.

Survivors include:
Son, Bruce and Kathleen Hazelet of Columbia City, Indiana.
Son, Rex and Cheryl Hazelet of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Eight grandchildren: Ellen (Wes) Immler of Avon, Ohio; Rachel Hazelet of Fairview, Ohio; Russell Hazelet of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Alexandra Hazelet of Fort Wayne; Alison Hazelet of Fort Wayne; Natalie Hazelet of Fort Wayne; Joseph Doctor of Huntington; and Maggie Doctor of Florida.
Brother, Louis and Rebecca Phillips of Arizona.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; daughter, Beth Ann Doctor in 1998; and three sisters, Alberta Vorndran, Beverly Bonar, and Judy Phillips.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana with visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service.  Rev. Mark Neubacher will officiate the funeral.
Burial will follow at Odd Fellows IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
