James F. “Frankie” Holbrook, age 79, of Kendallville, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.  Frankie was born on January 7, 1938 in Garrett, Kentucky to the late Edgar and Julie (Young) Holbrook.  He was a United States Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post 86 in Kendallville. He married Charlotte Vonda Daniels on February 20, 1960 in Brimfield, Indiana.  Frankie was employed for 30 years with International Harvester/Navistar in Fort Wayne and Springfield, Ohio.

Survivors include:
Wife, Charlotte Holbrook of Kendallville.
Daughter of his heart, Tara Holbrook Arnett of Avilla.
Sister, Mary and David Adkins of Richmond, Kentucky.
Brother, Roger and Gladys Holbrook of Kendallville.
Brother, David and Juniv Holbrook of Kendallville.
Brother, Floyd and Gale Holbrook of Winchester, Kentucky.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Roberta and Oretta.

Visitation for Frankie will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 5:00 -7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Graveside funeral services and burial will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Lake View Cemetery, Riley Road in Kendallville.  Rev. Willie Collins will conduct the service.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Arnett, Ronald Waddles, Jaimie Coolidge, Trent Moore, Mel Poling, and Charles Walkup.
