James Warren Stewart

James Warren Stewart, Jr. age 75, died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Parkview-LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange, Indiana.  Mr. Stewart was born August 31, 1942 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late James Warren Stewart, Sr. and Gladys Rae (McSorley) Stewart.  He graduated from Northside High School in Fort Wayne in 1960. Jim was a truck driver for 20 years for Helms Trucking as well as a fork lift operator for Walmart in Fort Wayne for 10 years.  He married Bonnie Elaine Dixon on April 16, 1990 in Fort Wayne.

Survivors include:
Wife, Bonnie Stewart of Rome City.
Son, James “Jamie” and Pam Stewart of Dayton, Ohio.
Son, Jeffrey T. Stewart.
Daughter, Joleen and Phillip Downs of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Shannon and Andrew Poinsette of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Meredith Emmons and her fiancé, Brian Ybarra both of Fort Wayne.
Son, Christopher Emmons and Stacy Lautzenheiser of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Leah and Chad Jackson of Wolcottville.
17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Brother, David and Kathy Stewart of Marion, Ohio.
Sister, Jane and Tony Newman of Fort Wayne.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Daniel Stewart and John Stewart. 

There will be a celebration of Jim’s life held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Harbor of Love Baptist Church with a meal following the celebration. Pastor Matt West will lead the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors. Arrangements entrusted to Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville.
