JUDY LOU CASSIDAY, age 64, of Kendallville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at her home north of Kendallville.

Mrs. Cassiday was born in Clovis, New Mexico on December 21, 1944 to Charles Monroe Barbee and Thelma Louisa (Walden) Boies.

She was married to Richard Levi Cassiday in Winterhaven, California on May 19, 1962.
Richard preceded her death on November 10, 2007.

Mrs. Cassiday was employed with McDonald-Douglas in Long Beach, California for five years. She helped in the manufacturing of the DC-8.
She also worked at General Motors in Southgate, California and Oklahoma City for 10 years.
She and Richard moved to Indiana in 1983 where she was employed with Machine Rite in LaGrange.

Judy loved to spend time with her family and attend church. She also enjoyed the simple things in life such as reading, sewing and cooking.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Charlette Cassiday and her companion, Robin Smith both of Auburn.
Daughter, Heather Cassiday of Kendallville.
Four grandchildren: LaRisa Pickard, Alora Cassiday and Robert Barnes all of Kendallville and Shawna Pickard of Auburn.
Two great grandchildren: Skyra Kay Likens and Saige Elise Polumbio.
Brother, Otis Boies of Greenville, California.
Brother, Earl Boies of Sutton, Alaska.
Sister, Betty Ralph of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Sister, Ora Ann Boies of Uba City, California.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, LaDona Sawyer on June 23, 2006; a sister, Avis Commander; and a brother, James H. Barbee.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from 4-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11:00am at Hite Funeral Home.
Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Earl Tackett and Rev. Phil Puckett.

Burial will be at Brushy Chapel Cemetery in LaGrange, Indiana.
Casketbearers will be her two daughters, Charlette and Heather, Mike Diehm, Denny Barnes, Matthew Hicks and Earl Terry.
