LaVon Marilyn (Budd) Renkenberger

LaVon Marilyn Renkenberger, age 90, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.  She was born on March 30, 1927 in Whitley County, near Churubusco, to the late Earlin and Mary (McClain) Budd.  She graduated from Churubusco High School in 1945 and married Keith Renkenberger on April 7, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1996. LaVon was a nurse’s aide at McCray Hospital in Kendallville for 32 years.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Linda and Michael “Mick” Newton of Kendallville.
Daughter, Brenda and Max Gnagy of Hamilton.
Son, Dennis Renkenberger of Howe.
Five grandchildren: Jenny Newton of Kendallville; Jackie (Monte) Perry of Edgerton, Ohio; Nathan Lay of Avon; Jason (Jessie) Renkenberger of Kendallville; and Krissy Renkenberger of Jackson, Kentucky. Eight great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cinda Renkenberger; three sisters, Evelyn Clouse, Lucille Bricker, and Martha Osbun. 

She will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Keith, at Hopewell Cemetery near Avilla where private graveside funeral services will take place. Arrangements entrusted to Hite Funeral Home of Kendallville. Send a condolence online at hitefuneralhome.com
