Lois Sharlene Osbun, age 76, of Kendallville, died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville. Mrs. Osbun was born in Kimmell, Indiana on July 31, 1942 to the late Raleigh and Mary Elizabeth (Simon) Halsey. She graduated from Albion Jefferson High School and Ravenscroft Beauty College in 1962. She married Keith Earl Osbun on August 31, 1963 at the Wayne Center United Methodist Church in Kendallville. Lois was known to many as “Flo” at Miller’s Truck Stop where she was a cook for many years. She was “Mom” to patrons at The Crazy Horse Salon and Paul’s Pub where she was a bartender and cook.
Survivors include:
Husband, Keith Osbun of Kendallville.
Daughter, Tina and Randy Goff of Hudson.
Grandson, Anthony Goff of Hudson.
Granddaughter, Sarah Goff of Fort Wayne.
Two great grandsons, Hunter Baker and Franklin DiFrancesco.
Sister, Theresa and Wayne Hughes of New Haven.
Brother, Mike and Cindy Halsey of Kimmell.
Sister, Joyce and Roy Castro of Milford.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Sue Osbun in 1975; granddaughter, Brooke Traxler in 2019; and brother, John Halsey.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery near Kimmell.
Memorial donations may be made to Lutheran Life Villages.
