Nancy Ann Klinkenberg

NANCY ANN KLINKENBERG, age 60, formerly of Kendallville, and currently from Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Byron Health Center in Fort Wayne.

Ms. Klinkenberg was born at Lakeside Hospital in Kendallville on January 30, 1947 to Robert C. and Cora (Koon) Klinkenberg.

She attended St. John Lutheran grade school and graduated from Kendallville High School in 1965 and Indiana University in 1969 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She then continued her education earning a Masters of Education degree in 1974. She taught school in Bloomington and Kendallville.

She was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville where she was baptised
April 6, 1947 and confirmed in the church May 21, 1961.

As a young girl, Nancy loved working behind the soda fountain in her parents store, Klinkenberg's on Main Street in Kendallville.

Ms. Klinkenberg was a member of the Alpha C. Delta Sorority, Beta Phi Chapter at Indiana University.
She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her late 20's and was a resident of Byron Health Center for 24 years.

Survivors include:
Uncles, Harvey Koon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Stewart D. Swihart of Sturgis, Michigan.
Niece, Sherri Jankowski of Fort Wayne and cousin, Barbara Britton of Rocky River, Ohio.
Nephews, Tom Koon of Minneapolis, Minnesota; David Koon of Portland, Oregon and Stewart D. Swihart,II of Howe, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by parents and a brother, Robert in 1995.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2007, from 9:00-10:00am at Byron Health Center in Fort Wayne.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 10:00am at Byron Health Center.
Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Paul B. Griebel.
Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
