Rita Burks Obituary

Rita Josephine Burks, age 74, formerly of Churubusco and most recently from Fort Wayne, passed away January 12, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Burks was born in Gary, Indiana on September 19, 1945 to the late Casper and Emma (Blake) Leisman. She married Jack David Burks on August 14, 1981 in Fort Wayne. Rita was an office manager for Almet, Inc.

Survivors include:
Husband, Jack Burks of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Victoria Martin of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Amanda and Albert Born of Columbia City.
Son, Sherman Burks of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Elizabeth and Lito Wulliman of Fort Wayne.
Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 9251 State Road 205, Churubusco, Indiana with Pastor Lane Burgland officiating.
