Robert Lee Gillespie, age 91, of Kendallville, died Sunday, September 9, 2018 at home. Mr. Gillespie was born in Kendallville, Indiana on September 2, 1927 to the late Gordon and Jennie (Silloway) Gillespie. He served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Force and was a veteran of WWII. He married Frances Jean Easterday on February 25, 1950 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Kendallville. Mr. Gillespie was a route salesman for City Dairy and Allen Dairy. He retired in 1988.

Survivors include:
His wife of 68 years, Frances Gillespie of Kendallville.
Brother, George and Grace Gillespie of Kendallville.
Many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ihrie, Alta Hite, and Betty Ebert and his brother, Delton Gillespie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hubartt officiating the service.
Visitation will also be Wednesday before the service from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Parkview Noble Hospice.
