Robert "Bob" Paul Sterling, age 75, of New Haven, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Sterling was born on July 17, 1942 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Donald and Mary (Kenagy) Sterling. In 1961, he graduated from Northside High School in Fort Wayne. He served his country honorably with the United States Army. On March 6, 1971, he married Deborah Ann Knepper. Bob worked for Zollner Piston in Fort Wayne for 35 years as a tool cutter and grinder. He was a member of the New Haven American Legion and Navy Club. Bob loved being outside, camping and taking care of yard work. He loved to spend time with family, grandchildren, and watching his grandchildren's games.

Son, Jeffrey Sterling.
Daughter, Jennifer and Alex Tapia.
Son, Robert T. and Angie Sterling.
Daughter, Angie and Jeremy Lewis.
Grandchildren, Breanna Sterling, Christian Tapia, Alexis Tapia, Faith Lewis, Allison
Lewis, Kaitlyn Sterling, and Peyton Sterling.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Michelle Sterling, and grandchild, Caleb Lewis.
Funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00pm with calling one-hour prior from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the American Legion Post# 330, 330 Entrance Drive, New Haven, Indiana 46774.
Private family burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
Officiating the service will be Chaplain Charlene Rorick.
