Cassandra Mae “Sandy” Rhoades, age 72, died Friday, December 28, 2018 at her home near Avilla. Mrs. Rhoades was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 24, 1946 to the late Jacob Wesley and Evelyn Dale (Sumney) Sheets. She graduated from Columbia City High School in 1964 and married Daniel Junior “Dusty” Rhoades on October 1, 1966 in Columbia City. She was a devoted farm wife, mother, and homemaker. She was also an accountant and owned and operated her own accounting business.

Daughter, Denise and Daniel Holbrook of LaOtto.
Son, Nathan and Meghan Rhoades of Avilla.
11 grandchildren including: Madison Rhoades, Jacob Rhoades, Isaiah Rhoades, Bodey Holbrook, Hailey Holbrook, Alexis Rhoades, Michael Rhoades, Nolan Rhoades, Cooper Rhoades, Emerson Rhoades, and Wyatt Rhoades. 1 great grandson, Ethan Rhoades.

In honor of Sandy, there will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at St. James Restaurant in Avilla.
