Steve H. Dixon, age 83, of Brimfield, died on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville. Mr. Dixon was born on November 11, 1935 in Kentucky to the late Boyd and Edna (Holliday) Dixon and moved to Indiana as a young boy. He married Patricia Ann Hisey on October 2, 1965 and she preceded him in death in 2005. Steve worked in the foundry much of his life and was employed with Kendallville Foundry and Newnam Foundry.
Survivors include:
Son, John and Jenell Dixon of Big Turkey Lake, Stroh.
Son, Rory Robbins of Brimfield.
Two grandchildren: Kristofer and Nikki Sprunger of Richmond Hills, Georgia and Kaelen and Courtney Sprunger of Rome City and great granddaughter, Hazel Sprunger.
Brother, Larry and Sue Dixon of Kendallville.
Brother, Lee Dixon of Kendallville.
Brother, Ryan Dixon of Florida.
Sister, Dana Homister of Syracuse.
Other survivors include: Beth Ann and John Long of Sarasota, Florida; Steven Dixon of Cromwell; and Jill Short of Fort Wayne; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Glen Dixon.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church in Lisbon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church with Larry Dixon and the church elders officiating.
Burial will take place at Orange Cemetery.
