Thomas Merl Kelham

Thomas Merl Kelham, age 86, of rural Avilla, died Friday, September 28, 2018 at home.  Mr. Kelham was born on April 7, 1932 near LaOtto, Noble County, Indiana to the late Merl George Kelham and Maretha J. (Cramer) Kelham.  He graduated from Marion High School in Marion, Indiana and was a United States Army Korean War veteran.  Tom was employed for 45 years with G.T.E.  He married Katherine Marie Hulen on March 7, 1957. He was an avid golfer and member of the Kendallville Elks and Rome City American Legion.

Survivors include:
Wife, Kate Kelham of Avilla.
Son, Gary and Penny Alwine of Kendallville.
Son, Kevin and Julie Kelham of Kendallville.
7 grandchildren: Sarah and Roy Mosley of Kendallville; Ryan Alwine, Becca Alwine, Brittnay Alwine, and Nick Alwine all of Kendallville; Brandon Kelham of Kendallville and Tiffany Kelham of Cicero. 7 great grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Marie Ferguson and Betty Jo Knafel.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home
Pastor Robert Farmer will officiate the funeral service.
Burial will take place at Lake View Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
