Wanda Lucille (Rowlison) Amburgey

Wanda Lucille “Pete” Amburgey, age 83, of Stroh, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at home.  Mrs. Amburgey was born September 22, 1935 in LaGrange County to the late Justice Floyd Rowlison and Eursel Mae (Deal) Rowlison. She married R.B. Amburgey, Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1977.  Wanda worked at No-Sag in Kendallville for 43 years.

Survivors include:
Son, R.B. and Dorothy Amburgey of Angola.
Three grandchildren: Curtis Ray Rowlison of Fort Wayne; Carla and James Slone of Hindman, Kentucky; and Jeremy Stanley of Kendallville. 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Gadomski in 2017. 
Wanda was the youngest of eleven children and all of her siblings have preceded her in death including her sisters, Dorothy Mapes, Nordel VanZile, Nelda Cummings, Doris Hardesty, Beverly Rowlison, and Arvilla Castner; and her brothers, John Rowlison, Tim Rowlison, Justice Rowlison, and Floyd Rowlison. 

Visitation will be held Monday, October 15, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville with Rev. Rick Davis officiating.
Burial will take place at East Springfield Cemetery, LaGrange County.
