Arthur James "A.J." Harger, age 52, of Kendallville, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2024, at home. A.J. was born in Angola, Indiana on August 25, 1971, to the late Mary Paulette (Hudgens) Hogan and Maclyn Raymond Harger. He graduated from Eastside High School in 1989 and was employed as a maintenance technician. He loved listening to music and playing his guitar. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors and nature, and being "Pappy Jacks" to his grandkids.

His father and stepmother, Maclyn and Mary Harger of Butler.
Brother, Adam Harger of Butler.
Sister, Jennifer Truelove of Waterloo.
Fiancé, Crystal Rose of Kendallville and her children, Tessa Rose and Montana Lewis both of Kendallville.
Step grandchildren: Isabella Johnson and Timothy Mickem.
Nephews: Zachary Robinson and Seth Harger.
Nieces: Elizabeth Bryne, Bailey Harger and Jaelyn Truelove and a great nephew, Caleb Truelove.
There will be a celebration of A.J.'s life and carry-in dinner on Sunday, August 11th at 1:00 PM at the Orange Township Community Room, 101 Warrener Drive, Rome City, Indiana 46784.
