Albert John "Al" Carnecki, Sr., age 85, of North Judson and LaCrosse, Indiana, died Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his home. Mr. Czarnecki was born January 26, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to the late John and Phyllis (Mleczko) Czarnecki. On April 5, 1957, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Patricia "Pat" Knapp. She died in 2004. On June 26, 2012, he married Nancy Lee Horner.
Al was a 1957 graduate of LaCrosse High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass. Al was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in LaCrosse before becoming a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Judson. He was also a member of the North Judson American Legion Post 92, where he served as Sergeant of Arms for several years. He was also a member of the VFW, 40&8, DAV and USO.

Wife, Nancy Czarnecki of North Judson, Indiana.
Son, Rodney Czarnecki of North Judson.
Daughter, Jean (Tom) Walters of North Judson.
Son, Albert (Becky) Czarnecki, Jr. of DeMotte, Indiana.
Son, Walter (Kathy) Woods of Wabash.
Daughter, Peggy Wolf of Valparaiso.
20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Brother, John (Edith) Czarnecki, Jr. of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Czarnecki; one brother, Kenneth Czarnecki; and one sister, Susan Howell.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the V.A.
