Alice (Carmicheal) Marks

Alice June Marks, age 94, formerly of Kendallville, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, Indiana. Mrs. Marks was born in Bruceville, Indiana on June 7, 1927 to the late Harley Everet Carmicheal and Hazel Lena (Anderson) Carmicheal. She married Robert E. Marks on December 30, 1976 in Auburn and he preceded her in death in 1993. She retired in 1987 from Dana Corporation, Churubusco. 

Survivors include:
Son, Brian and Trinny Brown of Kouts, Indiana.
8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Sister, Kathryn Neil of Clearwater, Florida.
Brother, William Carmicheal of Avilla.
Brother, John Carmicheal of Fort Wayne.
Brother, Phillip Carmicheal of Logansport.
Sister, Sharon Garringer of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, Bruce Brown (1987) and Barry Brown (1997); sisters, Ruby Frederick, Mary Akers, Joanne Potter and Shirley Tipton; brothers, Jack Carmicheal, Norman Carmicheal, Kenneth Carmicheal and Donald Carmicheal.

Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Corunna Cemetery.
