Archie Bristow

Archie Franklin Bristow, Jr., 74, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 after an extended illness at his home. Archie graduated from Hoke County High School in Raeford, North Carolina in 1967. He joined the Marine Corps in 1969 and was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan.  He was a graduate of Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, North Carolina and Ivy Tech Community College in Ft. Wayne.  He retired from I.T.T. after 31 years.  Archie enjoyed driving his car “all over the place” and watching Chicago Bulls basketball.  Most of all Archie enjoyed being with his family.

Archie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kellie, daughter Bree (John Capone) of Chicago, Illinois; son, Michael and grandson, Holden Bristow, both of Ft. Wayne; brother, Charles (Linda) of Kenansville, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Sr. and Evelyn Bristow and his father and mother in law, Patrick and Betty Vail.

A memorial service will be held September 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Unity Spiritual Center, 3232 Crescent Avenue, Ft. Wayne, Indiana with calling at 10:00 AM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in Archie’s name to Veteran’s National Memorial Shrine and Museum, 2122 O’Day Road, Ft. Wayne, IN  46818.
