Asher Solomon Oakes, 5 days old, died Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 18, 2018.

Survivors include:
Parents, Brandon Oakes and Rachel Yahne-Oakes of Garrett.
Brothers, Gabriel Oakes, Sullivan Yahne, Declan Oakes, and Elliott Oakes of Garrett.
Maternal grandmother, Debra Yahne of Kendallville.
Maternal grandfather, Jack Yahne, Jr. of Avilla.
Maternal great grandfather, Robert Gerst of Kendallville.
Maternal great grandmothers, Helen Gerst of Ligonier and Regina Souder of Huntington.
Paternal grandmother, Debra Oakes of Avilla.
He was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents, Jack and Nancy Yahne in 1988; Eula Joyce Gerst in 2012; and paternal great grandparents, Paul and Joan Fulk; and Richard and Glenna Oakes.
