Benjamin Franklin Poe, age 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away February 4, 2024 at his home. Mr. Poe was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on February 8, 1943 to the late William Audrie Poe and Audrey Andree (Hamilton) Poe. He graduated from Wiley High School in Terre Haute. He was married to Connie Lee Miller on December 5, 1971 in Montezuma, Indiana. Ben was a career military man. He honorably served 30 years in the United State Air Force-Air National Guard 181st Tactical Fighting Wing. He retired from the Air Force in 1998.
Survivors include:
Wife, Connie Poe of Fort Wayne.
Son, Troy and Kelly Poe of Fort Wayne.
Two grandchildren: Myles and Dylan Poe.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Audrie Poe and sister, Leigh Myers.
A memorial service to celebrate Ben's life will be held at a later date to be announced.
