Bonnie Lucille (Worman) Ryan left this life and joined her husband on June 20, 2022. She was the daughter of Harry Adolphis Worman and Carrie Estele (Dustman) Worman. She was born November 23, 1926 in Wells County and spent her early years between Wells County and Noble County.
In her early adult years, she was employed at International Harvester. She then married Harold Wayne Ryan on February 5,1949. After a time in Georgia while Harold was in the service they moved home to Noble County and built their life of over 60 years in LaOtto. During some of that time she was employed at LaOtto Elementary School as a “lunch lady”.
She was active in many organizations including the LaOtto Firemans Lady Auxillary, past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Stars, Busco Boots N Bonnets Dance Club, Swanette Homemakers Club and an active member of the LaOtto Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
She also enjoyed baking the grandkids birthday cakes. Whatever the request was she would put it on their cakes from Spiderman to Princesses. She would also get requests from other family members and friends. You may view her masterpieces at www.bonniescakes.com
She and her husband of 72 years enjoyed many adventures and trips in their retirement as well.
Surviving are her three children, Tom (Debbie) Ryan of Kendallville. Sue (Tom) Sherer of Kendallville and Cindy (Max) Weber of Albion.
She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren Tara (Ryan) Zeller of Conover NC, Travis (Naheed) Ryan of Westfield IN, Nathan (Sandra) Sherer of Kouts IN, Adam (Tina) Sherer of Los Angeles CA, Lisa (Tim) Laur of Avilla IN, Laura (Adam) Tallent of Ft Wayne IN, Sarah (Zack) Smith of Kendallville IN, Carrie (Reese) Yunker of Howe Indiana and Emily (Abe) Stangland of Albion IN.
Also 16 great grandchildren, Noah Zeller, Zoe Sherer, Amanda Schrader, Sumaiyah, Layla and Salmaan Ryan. Lucy, Nora, Olivia and Naomi Laur, Liam Tallent, Orion and Malcom Smith, Hudson and Adda Stangland and Parker Yunker.
She was also special to many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother William (Bill) and Sister Ruth.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00m PM on Friday June 24th at Hite Funeral Home 403 S Main St Kendallville with calling from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to service.
Burial will be at Swan Cemetery.
Memorials are to Noble County Humane Society or Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
