Bruce E. Goodwin

Bruce Earl Goodwin, age 90 of Marion, passed away on February 19, 2022 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Goodwin was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on November 21, 1931 to the late Robert B. Goodwin and Gertrude (Emmons) Goodwin. He married Dorothea “Dottie” (Harrison) on July 8, 1956. He proudly served in the US Navy for four years and wore several hats thru out his later years depicting his service. Bruce worked for General Motors in Marion Indiana (Fisher Body) for 37 years. He retired in 1993 as a Tool and Die Supervisor. He was very active at Hillside Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and Indianapolis Colts on TV. He enjoyed gardening and also delighted in cooking. He enjoyed wood working and made several custom wood projects for friends and family over the years. He also loved spending time with his three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Survivors include:

Son, Tim and Polly Goodwin of Lima, Ohio.

Daughter, Tresa Goodwin

Grandson, Phil and Channing Goodwin.

Granddaughter, Katy and Sean Suggett.

Four great grandchildren: Aiden Suggett, Gwen Suggett, Bennett Goodwin and Gideon Goodwin.

He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Goodwin, grandson Benjamin L. Goodwin and his wife Dorothea L. Goodwin.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hillside Wesleyan Church, 2510 South Home Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the church.

Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, Indiana 46953.
