Clarence Daniel “Buddy” Manns, age 82, of Corunna, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at home. Buddy was born in Wayland, Kentucky on March 1, 1941 to the late James and Nora (Allen) Manns. He was employed for many years with Newnam Foundry in Kendallville. He married Judy Rosetta Arnold on July 29, 1962 in Kendallville. Judy preceded him in death July 22, 2020. Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing with his grandkids, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Sheila and Elmine Terry of Avilla.
Son, Ken and Marian Jo Manns of Pleasant Lake.
Five grandchildren: Samuel Manns, Megan Manns (fiancé, Trevor Trent), Daniel (Valerie) Manns, Amanda (Dustin) Dennison and Judy Bolen.
Six great grandchildren: Bennett Dennison, Logan Dennison, Nicholas Dennison, Tragen Trent, Madilyn Trent, and Macey Trent.
Sister, Linda and Dan Alter of Kendallville.
Sister, Louetta and James Hale of Kendallville.
Sister, Willa and Walker Tackett of Kendallville.
Sister, Oma Jean Howard of Michigan.
Brother, Jimmy and Dorothy Manns of Kendallville.
Brother, Bobby Manns of Kendallville.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Nora Manns; his wife, Judy Manns; daughter, Patricia Bolen, who died May 12, 2015; grandson, Stevie Meeks; brothers, Junior Manns, Claude Manns, and Ray Manns; and sisters, Cleta Mae Knox, Madlene Slone, Ella Handshoe, Dorothy Mitchell, Lorean Hamdin and Christine Morr.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Collins officiating.
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
