Carl D. Grenzenbach, age 85, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Heritage Park Nursing Home in Fort Wayne. Mr. Grenzenbach was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 3, 1932 to Carl H. and Erma (Gephart) Grenzenbach. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He married Gertrude J. Koldeway on June 16, 1962 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and she preceded him in death on February 8, 2014. Carl was a retired truck driver for HWI and Dana Trucking Fleet.
Survivors include:
Son, Gregory and Michele Grenzenbach of Gallatin, Tennessee.
Son, Douglas Grenzenbach of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Mary Jane Hardesty of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Devann Patten of Fort Wayne.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Tagmeyer and Marceleen Osborn; and a brother, Harold Grenzenbach.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 7710 East State Blvd, Fort Wayne.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Reverend Steven Ahlersmeyer will officiate the funeral service.
Burial with military honors will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
