Carla Jean Halferty, age 73, of Hudson, passed away June 11, 2025, at home. Carla was born on September 19, 1951, to the late Isadore and Mable (Bailey) Bradley. She was employed by A-1 Production and B & J Medical as a quality control manager. In her younger days and for many years, Carla played softball, and she belonged to two bowling leagues. She loved animals, especially her dogs "Momma" and "Ruby". They were with her at the time of her death. She also loved to ride motorcycles when she was younger as well. She would ride to her softball practices and games on her motorcycle. One last thing that she really loved was her 1970 Barracuda Convertible. It was a birthday gift from her previous husband, Dan, and they went on many road trips and car shows, including Niagra Falls. Carla also had a love for watching racing, NASCAR and sprints mostly. She enjoyed watching races and gambling at various casinos with her long-time friend, Ron Richards in the later years of her life. Her last relationship was with James V. "Jim" Stuller. Jim was a very important part of Carla's life.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Heather Stegmann of Hudson.
Son, Scott Gamble of Helmer.
Three grandchildren: Madison (Eric) Abell of Avilla; Moriah (Michael) Renz of Auburn; and Briana Ballinger of Kendallville.
Brother, Robert Bradley of Kendallville.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Parker.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. There will be no funeral service.
Private burial will take place at Fairfield Cemetery near Corunna.
