Charles “Chuck” Colderbank, son of late Charles & Virginia Colderbank, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Veterans Hospital in Fort Wayne following a valiant battle with Covid-19 and complications from respiratory failure. Chuck was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 26, 1946. He was a man of strong faith and member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Yoder. He honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Chuck was a Specialist 4 in the Big Red One 121st Signal Battalion in Vietnam. He was a Communication Specialist 1967-1968. He spent his 21st birthday in a fox hole. Chuck received an Army Commendation Medal by Direction of Secretary of the Army. Chuck also received Certificate of Nomination presented by Disabled American Veterans. He furthered his education by earning a degree from International Business College and continued his education throughout his life. He started his career at International Harvester and later became owner of AAA Tri-Color. His love of learning and technology took him to be a professor at Ivy Tech College for many years. Chuck (Grandpa Goo-Goo enjoyed entertaining his family with his light shows, music, movies and his legendary Nacho Nights. Chuck’s one of a kind sense of humor and infectious laugh will always be remembered.

His loving wife of 52 years, Rosemary “Rosie” Colderbank of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Jacqueline (Greg) Trainer Bonita Springs, Florida.
Daughter, Caroline (Sean) Eviston of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Loretta (Tony) Benedetti of Saint Johns, Florida.
Son, Thomas (Leslie) Colderbank of Hoagland.
11 grandchildren: Deavin Eviston of Santa Monica, California; Emerald (Eviston) and Nick Pritchard of Fort Wayne; Amethyst (Eviston) and Colton Adamonis of Fort Wayne; Kristin Trainer and Justin Trainer both of Bonita Springs, Florida; Korey Benedetti (Brittany) of Fort Wayne; Tony Benedetti, II and Guy Benedetti both of St. Johns, Florida; Alexis Colderbank, Mason Colderbank and Addelie Colderbank all of Hoagland. 2 great grandchildren: Theodosius Adamonis and Tanzanite Pritchard.

Chuck preceded in death by grandson, Clayton Benedetti and sisters, Judy Hoffman and Roseann Bonbrake.
Everyone please join us in a social distancing memorial drive-through visitation to offer condolences to the Colderbank family on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 14623 Bluffton Road, Yoder, Indiana 46798. Memorial donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans. There will be a drop box at end of the family line on the visitation day or you are welcome to donate directly online to dav.org.
A memorial mass will be held Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
