Charles Moriarity

Charles Patrick "Chic" Moriarity, age 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne. Chic was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1936, to the late John Joseph Moriarity and Annabella (Clark) Moriarity. He honorably and proudly served his country in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army from 1958-1961. He also served 19 months in the United States Navy. He married Elizabeth Dorothy (Eatherly) Moriarity who preceded him in death on March 11, 2018. Chic was a self-employed painter.   

Survivors include:
Son, John Moriarity of Fort Wayne.
Granddaughter, Jessica and Phillip Keller of Fort Wayne.
Grandson, Jeffrey Moriarity. 
Seven great-grandchildren: Elijah, Jade, Ryder, Amelia, Kaydan, Avaha, and Paisely. 
Stepchildren: Ronald Bird, Sue Shephard, and Jack Bird. 
Caregiver and friend, Carolyn and Wyatt Mullinax of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Moriarity.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Westview Alliance Church with visitation at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Wyatt Mullinax will officiate the funeral service. Burial with military honors will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery.
