Charlotte (Daniels) Holbrook

Charlotte Vonda (Daniels) Holbrook, age 92, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. Mrs. Holbrook was born in Garrett, Kentucky, on November 28, 1933, to the late Guy Ersel "Surge" Daniels and Mary (Hicks) Daniels. On February 20, 1960, she married James F. "Frankie" Holbrook in Brimfield, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2017. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters, Beulah Wanda Lawson, Glenna Brown, Cloyteen Conley, Violet Layne, Doraleen Whitehead, Nadine Hacket, and Kay Polling; two brothers, Leon Daniels and Freddie Daniels. 

She is survived by sister-in-law and caregiver, Gladys Holbrook of Kendallville; sisters-in-law, Juniv Holbrook of Kendallville and Mary Holbrook Adkins of Richmond, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Floyd Joe Holbrook of Lexington, Kentucky; daughter of her heart, Tara and Jeremy Arnett of Avilla; and many nieces and nephews. 

Charlotte retired from Kraft Foods of Kendallville. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville and also Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 AM. 
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville. 
Casket bearers will be Trent Moore, Terry Moore, Shawn Moore, Jamie Coolidge, Jeremy Arnett and Luke Godsey.
