Chuck Laws

Charles Major “Chuck” Laws, Jr., age 86, of Avilla, died January 23, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Laws was born in Alhambra, California on June 2, 1937 to the late Charles Major Laws, Sr. and Dorothy Helen (Bittner) Laws. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a warehouse and distribution manager for 21 years with Ralph’s Grocery Company in Los Angeles, California. He married Sharon Rose (Schlotter) Laws on June 7, 1991 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avilla. Sharon preceded him in death on March 11, 2020. Through the years, Chuck enjoyed many hobbies including dirt bike racing, old music, and especially being a pilot. He had a bigger than life personality and loved people. He has many great friends and will be missed by all.

Son, Randy and Deborah Laws of Palmdale, California.
Daughter, Robin and Dave Parker of Rhododendron, Oregon.
Daughter, Nina and Mike Bennett of Auburn, Indiana.
Daughter, Catherine and Charles “Chuck” Inzer of Avilla.
Son, Jason and Debbie Combs of Fort Wayne.
Son, John and Christine Mory of South Milford.
14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Sister, Teryl of Florida.
Sister, Lorraine of Alabama.
Chuck was preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Larry Asher.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
