Cynthia Susan (DeLong) Rasler, age 58, of Turkey Lake, LaGrange County, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Turkey Lake. Cindy was born at McCray Hospital in Kendallville, Indiana on December 13, 1964 to Robert Gene DeLong and the late Janice Earlene (Mickelson) DeLong. She graduated from East Noble High School in 1983 and International Business College in Fort Wayne. Cindy was employed as a secretary and administrative assistant with various companies including Cupka Insurance, Auburn; Innotek, Garrett; Dow Corning, McCray Hospital in Kendallville. She also worked weekends on the sanitation crew at Kraft Foods in Kendallville. She married her longtime companion and friend, Edward Riley Rasler, on August 13, 2022 at Helmer Community Church. Cindy loved to cook, spend long summer days on Turkey Lake, and find the best deals at garage sales. She very deeply loved her family, her children, and grandkids and will be greatly missed.

Husband, Ed Rasler of Turkey Lake, LaGrange.
Son, Mackenzie and Sarah Bolinger of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Martha and Michael Wortkoetter of Montpelier, Ohio.
Daughter, Lydia Harding and her fiancé, Samantha Ames of Bluffton, Indiana.
Eight grandchildren including: Carter Knaub, Doninique Wortkoetter, Breilynn Wortkoetter, Hannah Brillhart, Alivia Wortkoetter, Piper Ames, Ameillia Black, and Jonathan “JJ” Wortkoetter.
Father, Robert DeLong of Turkey Lake, LaGrange.
Sister, Ann and Matt Ellis of Auburn.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Janice DeLong on February 19, 2015; sister, Vanita Mae (DeLong) Agee on July 12, 2016; and brother, Charles Leslie “Chuck” DeLong on October 14, 2022.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville and everyone is encouraged to wear orange. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Reverend Donna Holcomb will officiate the funeral service.
Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Memorial donations may be made in Cindy’s memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
