Corene Green, age 92, of Kendallville, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. Mrs. Green was born in Knott County, Kentucky, on December 30, 1932, to the late Alex and Nancy (Handshoe) Terry. She married Corbit Green on January 15, 1949, in Knott County, Kentucky. Corbit preceded her in death April 18, 2016. Corene was a devoted housewife and mother, and she also worked at King-Seeley/Eaton Controls in Kendallville.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Dorothy and Jim Manns of Kendallville.
7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Sister, Donna Strange of Kendallville.
Sister, Tina and Dana Bolen of Kendallville.
Brother, Elmer Terry of Kendallville.
Brother, Milford Terry of Kendallville.
Brother, Denzil Terry of Kendallville.
Brother, Delbert Terry of Kendallville.
Brother, Elmine and Sheila Terry of Avilla.
Son-in-law, Bob Manns of Kendallville.
Daughters-in-law, Sue Green and Barbara Green of Kendallville.
Corene was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Nancy Terry; her husband, Corbit Green; two sons, Donald Ray Green and Kennith Green; daughter, Wilma J. Manns; granddaughter, Blenda Dobison; grandson, Donald N. Green; great-great granddaughter, Taylor Dobison; two brothers, Raymond Terry and Delmer Terry; six sisters, Opal Terry, Nella Faye Terry, Delphia Ramey, Sadie Adkins, Edith Hollifield, and Glenna Manns.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 23, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Bolen officiating. There will also be visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Christian Union Cemetery near Garrett.
