Cynthia Lynn Malcolm, age 72, of Garrett, passed away November 8, 2024, at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne. Cindi was born in Muncie, Indiana on March 14, 1952, to the late Malcolm Thomas Brown and Nora Jean (Huffer) Gunter. She graduated from Muncie High School in 1970 and Ball State University in 1980. She married Winfield Scott "Scotty" Malcolm on January 23, 1982, in Muncie, Indiana and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2021. Cindi was employed as a cashier at Walmart in the past. She loved children and they loved her. She volunteered her time in children's ministry at church. Cindi went to clown school in the past and she enjoyed entertaining as Bubbles the clown.
Survivors include:
Sister, Melanie Lee Houk and her husband, David Houk of Muncie.
Sister, Monna Elaine Foster of Glendale, Arizona.
Brother, Michael Thomas Brown of Pampa, Texas.
Brother, Monte Oren Brown of Phoenix, Arizona.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 1357 South Randolph Street, Garrett, with visitation at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Pastor David Mix will officiate the service.
Burial will follow at Christian Union Cemetery.
