Dana Richard Failor

Dana R. Failor, age 75, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.  He was born on May 18, 1945 in Fort Wayne to the late Richard G. and Betty J. (Jefferies) Failor. Dana graduated from North Side High School where he was a track star.  He attended college at Indiana State for a year and honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a radar operator and then an M.P. on the U.S.S Ranger.  After his discharge from the service Dana worked as a Indiana State Trooper and a Fort Wayne police officer.  He was also a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include;
Son, Scott T. Failor.
Step daughter, Karen Macki.
Step daughter, Susan Gilles.
3 Grandchildren, Thomas E. Failor, Christein Lee Nicher and Victoria L. Failor, and 3 Step grandchildren.
Sister, Karen L. Bennett.
Dana was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Alexander Failor and a brother, Michael A. Failor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street, Kendallville.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home.
The family has recommended that anyone attending the services to please wear a mask.
