On Wednesday September 4, 2024, David Warren Griffith-Lindsay passed away peacefully at his home in Kendallville Indiana. He will forever be remembered as a loving father and a beloved big brother. David married Mary Ann Lewis on July 7, 2007, in South Milford. She preceded him in death September 9, 2019. His love as a husband will follow him in his passing. Dave was an ordinary man, a true Ozzy enthusiast, he rode that crazy train right to the end. Beyond his love for music, he could tell a story like no other. If there was an ear to listen, there was a story to share. On top of his love for telling stories, he had the uncanny ability to dog whisper. You wouldn't believe it but it's true and his dog would tell you so. Besides all that, he was a determined and hardworking man, when he wanted something done, he never gave up and he never lost sight of that. Dave will be remembered as a well-worn leather jacket, a shot of Jim Beam, and a Marlboro Red cigarette. Words of the wise, "Dave's not here maaaan".
Survivors include:
His son, Robert Lindsay and his companion, Raegan Cornell of Mendon, Michigan.
Sister, Sherry Stukey of Kendallville.
Sister, Shelly Amburgey of Butler.
Stepson, Jason Stanley of Wolcottville.
Grandchildren Mathew Stanley, Ethan Stanley and Alexander Stanley.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Linda Lindsay; his wife, Mary Ann; and three brothers, Brent Ebert, Brian Lindsay, and Jeff Lindsay.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
