David Starr

David Lewis Starr, age 75, of Marion, Indiana, passed away April 4, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. David was born in New Castle, Indiana, on July 28, 1950, to the late William Edward Starr and Oweda Ganelle (Burdick) Starr. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from September 1968 - August 1969. He was employed in the past as a semi-truck driver. 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Tonya Kay Slover of New Castle, Indiana.
Daughter, Jessica Starr of New Castle.
Son, James Allen White of Kendallville.
Daughter, Kate Starr of North Carolina.
Son, William David "Billy" Starr of North Carolina.
Daughter, Rachel Barber of North Carolina. 
18 grandchildren and two great grandsons. 
Sister, Vicki Owens of Houston, Texas. 
Brother, John Starr of Burlington, North Carolina.
Brother, Paul Starr of Portland, Indiana.
David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Oweda Starr; and his oldest grandson, Neiko Manderson. 

There will be a celebration of Dave's life held in New Castle at a later date. 
Committal with military honors will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
