Dennis Lee McHenney, age 74, of Kendallville, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Dennis was born at Fort Manmouth, Oceanport, New Jersey on June 30, 1949, to the late Gerald B. McHenney and Annabelle (Allen) Forrester. Dennis graduated from East Noble High School in 1967 and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War and proudly served from 1969-1972. While in the Army, he married Anna B. Sparkman on November 12, 1969, at Fort Bliss, Texas. In 1972, after his service in the Army, Dennis and his family moved back to Kendallville where he started his career as an electrical engineer. He was employed by Monsanto and General Electric for many years. He loved to fix things and piddle around. He enjoyed anything related to space travel and NOVA. Dennis loved rides around Bixler Lake and watching sports. 

Survivors include:
Wife, Anna McHenney of Kendallville.
Son, Steve McHenney of Kendallville.
Brother, Michael and Florence McHenney of Coldwater, Michigan.
Sister, Sheila Rodrick of Elkhart.
Brother, Patrick McHenney of Indianapolis.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home. 
Burial with military honors will take place at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
