Diana (Uhl) Kreger

Diana May (Uhl) Kreger, age 79, of Albion, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center surrounded by her children. Ms. Kreger was born April 20, 1943 in Albion on her parent's wedding anniversary. She attended Albion-Jefferson High School and Graduated in 1961. 

Diana grew up on the family farm with her two older brothers, Delbert and Oakley. She worked alongside them on the dairy operation. She enjoyed farming, but horses were her passion. She picked up ears of corn in the field after harvest and sold them to pay for her first horse. She named that horse Silver and started a trend that she never outgrew. She owned horses for the rest of her life. She showed her Pinto horses on the show circuit, achieving multiple registries of merit and a Tri State High Point award. She participated in the local saddle club and 4H club. She enjoyed helping the next generation of horsemen with her vast knowledge of horses.

Diana worked at Dana Corporation for 40+ years. She began as a floor supervisor, while also being on the security team, fire response team, and a certified first responder. She finished out her time with Dana Corporation in the HR department. Diana retired from Dana in 2005.
Diana kept busy after retirement. She could be found at her home by the lake where she welcomed people that came down to fish. She spent time with her family and could also be found on a tractor during hay season or hauling wagons to be unloaded. Many will remember Diana for her old Jeep she  used to haul hay wagons, and for the cowboy hat that was always on her head. She never went out without it. Known and loved by many, she will not be forgotten.

Surviving are her three children, Brian (Janet) Kreger of Albion, Dena Kreger of Albion, and Audrianna (Travis) Ferguson of Albion; her grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla, Alawndra, and Alexandria; her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Xander, Neil, Hazel, Iris, and Leylianna. She is also survived by her brother, Delbert Uhl of Albion.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lester Uhl; her mother, O’Donna (Bauman) Uhl; her brother, Oakley Uhl; and her sister-in-law, Patricia (Murphy) Uhl.

A celebration of life will be held at the Noble County Saddle Club Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00am with a short service beginning at 11:00am
