Donald Carl Haaser, age 87, passed away on July 1, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.  Donald was born on August 11, 1932 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Carl and Gladys (Michael) Haaser. In 1950 he graduated from St. Joseph High School and went on to get his associates degree from Tiffin University.  After school he honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He married Mary M. Halbeisen on July 30, 1955 in Fremont, Ohio. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2016.  Don was a purchasing director for United Technologies until his retirement in 1991 after 30 years of service.  He was an avid golfer receiving 8 hole in one plaques over the years.  Don also enjoyed and became very talented in wood carving birds.
Survivors include;
Son, Steven Haaser of Indianapolis.
Son, David Haaser of Big Long Lake.
Son, Douglas and Linda Haaser of Hudson.
Son, Daniel and Mary Haaser of Angola.
Son, Gregory and Tracy Haaser of Garrett.
11 Grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren
Donald was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 301 E. Diamond Street, Kendallville.
