Douglas Eugene Treesh, age 68, of Kendallville, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his home. Doug was born in Kendallville, Indiana on April 3, 1955 to the late Donald Eugene Treesh and Delores Marie (Grimm) Treesh. He graduated from East Noble High School in 1973. He married Kim Renee Davis on November 25, 1978 in Kendallville at Faith United Methodist Church. Doug was a longtime employee with Kraft Foods in Kendallville. He worked at Kraft’s for 36 years before retiring in 2009. Being the funny guy and jokester he was, Doug had a nickname for everyone. If he loved you, nicknamed you! He was a big sports fan, especially when it came to attending his kids and grandkids sporting events. He also was a Pittsburgh Steelers, Notre Dame football, and New York Yankees fan. He also loved his dogs and riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include:
Wife, Kim Treesh of Kendallville.
Son, Josh Treesh of Kendallville.
Son, Brock Treesh of Kendallville.
Daughter, Lindsay Treesh of Kendallville.
Five grandchildren: Caden Treesh, Reece Bradley, Mason Treesh, Ellie McKinney, and Calliope Treesh.
Sister, Debbie and Jeff Carter of Indianapolis.
Sister, Denise and Domenic “Nick” Tedeschi of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Many nieces and nephews.
Brother-in-law, Larry Avery of Traverse City, Michigan.
Doug was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Courtney Treesh; his father, Don Treesh, July 5, 1999; his mother, Delores Treesh, April 10, 2015; father-in-law, Mory Davis, November 14, 2005; mother-in-law, Patty Davis, December 4, 2017; and a sister, Dianne Avery, September 27, 2013.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 from 2:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Antal officiating the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the Tammi Riecke Scholarship, c/o Noble County Community Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
