Earl Jerome Eulitt, age 81, of Kendallville, died Monday, July 5, 2021 at his home. Mr. Eulitt was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on January 15, 1940 to the late Clyde W. Eulitt and Frances Elizabeth (Kern) Phillips. He graduated from Northside High School in 1959 and honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserves from 1960-1966. He married Nancy Betty Craft on May 22, 1988 at Potato Creek State Park in North Liberty. Earl was the dairy department manager for Kroger’s in Auburn and retired from there after 34 years of service. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Avilla and an active member of Destiny Family of Faith in Kendallville. Earl loved spending time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed bird watching.
Survivors include:
Wife, Nancy Betty Eulitt of Kendallville.
Son, Thomas and Jen Eulitt of Auburn.
Stepdaughter, Suzanne Yant of Kendallville.
Stepdaughter, Sonya Caudill of Howe.
Stepdaughter, Sharon Huff of Auburn.
14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Sister, Sue Ann Forkert of Fort Wayne.
Mother of his son, Sylvia Allen of Auburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sally Eulitt.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the memorial service. Pastor Mike Albaugh will officiate the memorial service.
Burial will take place later at Lake View Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Destiny Family of Faith or Parkview Hospice.
