Eddie Gamble, age 76, of Kendallville passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his residence.  Mr. Gamble was born on January 1, 1948 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Farris Sr. and Athna (Stephens) Gamble.  Mr. Gamble attended Avilla High School before plunging into the work force.  He began his professional life at Adam’s and Westlake, where he was head of the window division.  Next, he ventured to Taylor Made, where he was employed for many years before starting his own business, “Sparkle Janitorial.”  For over 40 years, he owned and operated “Sparkle Janitorial” which was not only a professional cleaning service but also a meticulous lawn care service.  Eddie enjoyed old westerns and high-performance muscle cars.  He was a very kind social man who spread unlimited joy to his local community, friends, and acquaintances.  He absolutely loved his family, family events, and soaking up as much quality time as he could with his loved ones.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, loved ones, and community.

Son, Bobby (Nannette) Gamble of Kendallville.

Daughter, Sherry (Kris) Herbst of Fort Wayne.

Daughter, Christie Gamble of Fort Wayne.

Daughter, Suzanne Gamble of Fort Wayne.

Grandchildren: Sadey (Austin Bollett) of Avilla; Laken (Jordan) Collins of Wolcottville; Jerra (Austin) House of Fort Wayne; Skyler Chambless of Fort Wayne; Makayla Crist (Joel Hickman) of North Webster; Mercade Chambless of Fort Wayne; Torre Gamble (Mayson Wallen) of Kendallville; Zac Chambless of Kendallville.

9 Great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Brother, Farris Jr. (Mindy) Gamble of Fort Wayne.

Brother, Dill Gamble of Wawaka.

Sister, Nadine Howard of Kentucky.

Sister-in-law, Vickie Gamble of Avilla.

Nephews and niece, Mike Gamble, Chace Gamble, Nathan Gamble, Tyler Gamble, and Jami Fiandt.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Woodie and Mike Gamble.  

Visitation and funeral will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm at Grace Christian Church, 126 East Mitchell Street, Kendallville.

Cremation will take place following the services honoring Eddie’s wishes.
