Esau Akers Obituary

Esau Akers, age 90, of Fort Wayne, died December 11, 2020 at the Towne House Retirement Community in Fort Wayne. Mr. Akers was born in Troumaca, St. Vincent, Grenadines on April 24, 1930 to Fitzroy and Faith (Knights) Akers. He was a union carpenter in New York City for many years. His wife, Vernette Providence preceded him in death.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Christine and Sam Wirts of Fort Wayne.
Son, Geoffrey and Linda Akers of Garner, North Carolina.
Daughter, Janet Baig of England.
17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Sisters, Christine Dennie and Catherine Tucker.
Brother, George Akers.
He was preceded in death by siblings Daniel Akers, Mable Smith, Rebecca Quashie, Marion McKenzie, Wilfred Akers, Owen Akers, and Joseph Akers.

A private family service was held.
