Gail A. Bunde, 87, of Leo, Indiana, stepped into Heaven on 31 December 2024. She was a lifelong learner and teacher in Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana, having reconnected with
nearly 100 former students online after her retirement. Gail graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1959 with a BS in education. She went on to earn an MS in education from St. Francis University and studied Bible and Theology at Fort Wayne Bible College.
She loved singing with the Senior Saints in the Fort Wayne area for 25 years. She also enjoyed writing, reading, knitting hundreds of hats and scarves for the needy, and pursuing her genealogy
as far back as 1664, when Rev. James Keith, a young Scottish Presbyterian minister, emigrated from Aberdeen.
Gail was a member of Grabill Missionary Church and a regular supporter of World Missionary Press. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to either of these two groups.
Surviving is sister Letha C. Woods, three nieces, and several cousins.
Deepest gratitude to Dr. Neil Sharma and her other doctors and nurses at Parkview Regional Hospital, her friends who took her to appointments and prayed for her, her sister Letha, and her
wonderful hospice nurse Aimee Wilson.
Friends and neighbors may gather at the Katherine Norr Center at The Cedars, 4409 Sunrise Court in Leo for reminiscing on Gail’s 88th birthday, February 14, 2025, between 1 and 4pm.
