Gladys Agnes Neal, age 86, of Kendallville, passed away November 26, 2022. Mrs. Neal was born in Red Bank, New Brunswick, Canada on April 18, 1936 to the late Willis A. White and Agnes M. (Richards) White. She married Reginald Morris “Reggie” Neal on April 2, 1956 in Andover, Canada. Reggie preceded her in death on December 26, 2005. Gladys was a licensed practical nurse and employed by Dr. Stallman’s medical office in Kendallville from 1976–2004. She was a past member of the Rome City United Methodist Church, Kendallville Women’s Bowling Association, and Kendallville VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Dawn Neal and her fiancé, Robert Goedde of Waterloo.
Daughter, Deborah Wallen of Kendallville.
Son, Dennis and Gabrielle Neal of Rome City.
Grandchildren: Justin Neal and his fiancé, Rachelle Hubbell; Ashley and Travis Prater; Rhonda and Brad Anderson; and Josh Wallen.
Great grandchildren are Hazel Prater, Abby Anderson, Kylie Anderson, Katie Anderson, Mycah Wallen and Jordan Wallen.
Sister, Ida Craig of New Brunswick, Canada.
Sister, Janie Austin of Ontario, Canada.
Sister, Linda Hare of New Castle, Canada.
Sister, Mae Masik of Scrab, Ontario, Canada.
Brother, Robert White of Frederecton, New Brunswick.
Brother, Edward White of Red Bank, New Brunswick.
Brother, Reginald White of Red Bank.
Brother, Donald White of Red Bank.
Brother-in-law, Dick and Susie Neal of Sequim, Washington.
Brother-in-law, Dave and Sue Neal of Auburn.
Sister-in-law, Joyce and Bill Brumbaugh of Columbia City.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ann White.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Burghduff officiating.
Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Noble County Humane Society or to Rome City United Methodist Church.
