Jacqueline June (Caldwell) Bartlett, age 87, of Kendallville, passed away September 22, 2024, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. Mrs. Bartlett was born in LaGrange County near Topeka, Indiana, on May 2, 1937, to the late Lloyd Lavern Caldwell and Helen Marie (Dick) Caldwell. She graduated from Kendallville High School in 1955 and married James Hugh Bartlett on June 25, 1955, at First Christian Church in Kendallville where they were members for many years. Jackie was the office manager for Shepherd's Automotive Group for many years and was the bookkeeper for J&D Janitorial Service. She was a member of Mongo United Methodist Church, Women in Christ, and Legacy of the American Legion. She loved shopping, cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, drawing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include:
Husband, Jim Bartlett of Kendallville.
Son, Rev. James and Rhonda Bartlett of Adams Lake.
Daughter, Debra Bartlett Cooper of Kendallville.
Six grandchildren: Amanda Hall of Richland, Michigan; Andrew and Ashlee Bartlett of Brushy Prairie; Earnest and Laura Bartlett of Corunna; Chad and Stephanie Cooper of Pendleton; Corey Cooper of Wolcottville and his fiancé, Alisha Slone; and Jefferson and Amber Cooper of Auburn and 18 great grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Helen Caldwell and siblings Betty Harrell, Edward Caldwell, Geraldine Davey and Donna Uhl.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mongo United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at Mongo Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Mongo United Methodist Church.
