Janet Lee Shipley, age 75, passed away December 25, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Shipley was born April 1, 1950, in Kendallville, Indiana, to the late Harold and Alice (Hamman) Grey. She was a 1968 graduate of East Noble High School, and she was employed more than 30 years with Essex Wire in Kendallville. She loved to watercolor paint, watch movies, paint shows, game shows, and old music videos, read, crochet, listen to music, collect stamps and photos of her family.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Sunshine N. Klink of Kendallville.
Son, Shilow N. Shipley and his wife, Editha of Kendallville.
Grandchildren: Drew A. Davidson of Arizona; Akeisha & Sean Heiman of Huntertown; Shijuan & Gabby Krantz of Avilla; Jaden Shipley of Sturgis, Michigan; and Cheyenne Shipley of Avilla.
Great grandchildren: Ryker, Remi and Raven of Huntertown.
Brother, Stanley Grey of Kendallville
Preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Alice B. Grey and brother, Harold A. Grey.
A celebration of life will be held in April 2026.
