Jean (Sawyer) Peachy

Marion Jean Peachy, age 76, of Kendallville, passed away July 14, 2024, at Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Jean was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey on July 14, 1948, to the late Clifford Lewis Sawyer and Gertrude Jane (Dixon) Sawyer. She graduated from high school in Louisville, Kentucky and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Indiana University Bloomington where she met and later married David Allen Peachy on August 23, 1975, in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Survivors include:
Husband, David Peachy of Kendallville.
Daughter, Lisa and Jared Olivetti of West Lafayette, Indiana and six grandchildren: Charlie. Isabel, Elias, John, Simon, and Moses Olivetti
Daughter, Tamera Jane Peachy of Kendallville.
Son, Zachary Richard Peachy of Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
Brother, Phillip and Sara Sawyer of Chandler, Arizona.
Sister, Martha Rust of New Albany, Indiana. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Peachy Thomas in 2012; and a brother, David Sawyer. 

Visitation and a memorial service has been scheduled for Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation will take place from 1:00-2:00PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00PM. Pastor Jared Olivetti will conduct the service. Private burial will take place in Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
