Jimmie Hugh McLain, age 86, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away September 4, 2024, at home.
Mr. McLain was born in Holcomb, Missouri on December 27, 1937, to the late Rubert Erskin McLain and Ruby Lee (Lightfoot) McLain.
He honorably served his country as a pilot in the United States Army.
He graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and was employed as a structural construction engineer.
He married Margaret Veronica Ennis, and she survives him. Other survivors include son, William McLain; daughter, Rachel Todd; stepdaughter, Jacqueline Paine; stepson, Jim Donnelly; brothers, Jack McLain, John McLain, Joe McLain, and Jeff McLain.
Jimmie loved aviation, traveling, and woodworking. He was a pilot, a veteran, an engineer, and an architect. He was a lifetime scholar and the best father and husband.
