Jimmy Wayne Forrester, age 78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana died Monday, September 16, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mr. Forrester was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 25, 1941 to the late Herbert Mathew and Doris Marion (Farmer) Forrester. Jimmy grew up in Nashville, Tennessee graduated from Humefogg High School in Nashville and he honorably served his country in the United States Army. He married Rachel Charlotte Puckett who preceded him in death in 2010. He was a police officer for the City of Nashville for 42 years. He also was employed for ten years with the Nashville Airport. Jimmy’s love of talking with people led him to become a Star Dust tour guide in Nashville as well.
Survivors include:
Daughter, Delilah Lute and her husband, Alan Lute of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Niece, Brianna Hoffman and great nephew, Landon Hamp both of Indianapolis.
Numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive him as well as his constant canine companion, Buddy.
There will be a private gathering to remember Jimmy’s life and his burial will take place later in Nashville, Tennessee.
