JoEllen Belans

Jo Ellen (Lewis) Belans, age 82, of Fort Wayne, died March 1, 2024. Jo Ellen was born April 7, 1941 to John and Josephine Lewis in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She loved her family and is survived by her children, Stephen (Dr. Beth Cooper) Belans of Driftwood, Texas, and Allison Scholl of Fort Wayne, and her grandchildren, Mackenzie Scholl of Fort Wayne, Madeline Scholl of Minneapolis, Minnesota, First Lieutenant Spencer (Peyton) Scholl of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Sydney Scholl of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Cooper Scholl of South Bend, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry M. Belans; parents, John and Josephine Lewis; sisters, Barbara Pasquarelli and Ann Louise (“Wesi”) Dunn; and great niece Kaitlin
Dunn.

At her request, there will be no memorial service.
